MUST APPRECIATE OLDER HOMES!

For those of you who appreciate older homes, you will enjoy reading this post.  The kids are looking at this house which is 99 years old!  It will be 100 years old when they get married!  What a great starter home!  Time will tell if they decide to get it......none the less, this is how we spent our day and will be taking a second look at it again tomorrow with Joey's side of the family.

This one must be on your list to see if you are searching for beautiful woodwork and move in condition. All new in fall of 2009, roof, gutters, downspouts, furnace, windows, ceiling fans, floor coverings, patio, fence and hot water tank. Home was insulated thru-out. New cement floor and drive in garage, plus new door and opener. Exterior and interior painted with new exterior shutters. 756sq.ft.in attic could be finished.

 BEAUTIFUL staircase!

Livingroom looking into the foyer!  Love the woodwork!

Original front door with turn key!
Livingroom with original woodwork!

Dining room....do you see the window seat?

Original kitchen cabinets.

Additional cabinets.  The kitchen is big enough for an island with a couple stools.

Going upstairs....the landing is wide with the bath at the end and 4 identical bedrooms off of it.  There is also a door and stairs which lead up to the attic.

All four bedrooms look the same.  Future updates could include knocking down a wall and combining two bedrooms into one master suite with a walkin closet and also enlarging the only bathroom in the house.

Another view of the bedroom.

The VERY small bathroom  :-(  This is the only downside to the house right now.
The attic which could be converted into a bonus room (playroom for Joey!  LOL).  The chandelier is the original one from the dining room, which was replaced with a ceiling fan.  It was moved here to save it.....and it works.  :-)
