The planning....Joey picked the ring out several weeks ago. He shared the ring with me yesterday and asked for some help getting Caitlin home today (from college) since today's date meant so much. Last weekend, Caite shared that she had Veteran's day off and might come home on Tuesday and stay Wednesday at home instead of staying at school. At first I didn't think we had to scheme tooooo much until Caitlin told us she was staying at school after all to celebrate a roommate's birthday. Ken came up with a plan to get a "recall" problem on her car fixed on Tuesday (a little white lie never hurts anyone!)....soooo she had no choice but to come home! Let's just say that she was VERY unhappy that she had to miss the party for her friend! Caitlin came home....left her car with Ken and Joey took over!
He had to pick up dog things at Petland and asked Caitlin to go along. This happens to be a favorite past time for the two of them.....playing with the Petland puppies. They also dreamed of having a baby beagle in the future. Joey not only decided to propose, he also bought her a puppy! The proposal took place at Petland! As they looked and cuddled with puppies, the beagle was brought out with a collar on it. Caitlin read the collar which said "Will you marry me? Love Joey".....Joey got down on one knee and proposed! HOW ROMANTIC! He text me the message "She said Yes!!!".....I had no doubt! Little did she know the puppy was her gift too!
