FLOWER FACTORY!

Today we hit the 50% off sales at the Flower Factory!  We were able to get many of the accent flowers and stems needed.....except for the main purple color.....but we have plenty of time to find them.  After that, we stopped in at David's Bridal.  Caitlin tried on some wedding dresses to get an idea of the style and color she likes before getting serious about wedding dress shopping!  We had a GREAT time! 

FIRST WEDDING PURCHASE!

Today, Caitlin, Ken and I went to the Flower Factory....we only had 30 minutes to shop but we found the first of many sparkly flower fillers which will be made up into beautiful arrangements.  We are going shopping again tomorrow.....best of all....these are 50% off!!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS 2009!

POSSIBLE RECEPTION PLACE!

Grandma Betty, Caitlin, Joey and I went to look at the Palace Pavilion for the reception.  Here are some pictures....beautiful, but if we pick this place, the kids will have to compromise and change their wedding date of 9-10-11 due to the Popcorn Festival, which is the same weekend!  Here are some pictures without decorations.......Simply Beautiful!

POSSIBLE WEDDING COLORS

So far, this is the color scheme that caught Caitlin's eye! Plum, gold, creams and maybe some bronzes mixed in.  Time will tell.  It is still pretty early in the wedding planning phases!

HEALTH TECHNOLOGY PICTURE FOR ADVERTISING

Caitlin's H.S. program asked for a picture of her in action with a patient. They want to put it on their advertising for the Health Technologies program.....Here's the picture!

Caitlin and Joey's Careers

Caitlin is the "face" of MedCentral College of Nursing.  She is on brochures, newspapers ads and so on.  Today she received a call from her Health Technologies program director at her high school.  They want to get a photo of her "in action" with a patient to put on all of their advertising  materials!  We are sooooo very proud of her.  She graduates with a Bachelors of Nursing in Spring of 2011!

We are also very proud of Joey's accomplishments.  He is a deputy with the county sheriff's office.  Presently he is a resource officer in a school.  Don't they make a cute couple?!

THE PROPOSAL

Here's the picture of the actual moment. It is a picture of a picture so it is not as clear as I would like it, but at least the moment is captured forever!

11/10/09- ENGAGEMENT

JOEY PROPOSED! Caitlin was 16 years old when they started dating....4 1/2 years later, a proposal! Today is a significant date....11.10.09....on 9.10.11 a wedding will take place! The next year and a half will be filled with a lot of wedding plans! My heart is happy for the two of them! Here are some pictures we took when they came home to share with us. Joey promises to get actual pictures of the proposal that I will post later.

The planning....Joey picked the ring out several weeks ago. He shared the ring with me yesterday and asked for some help getting Caitlin home today (from college) since today's date meant so much. Last weekend, Caite shared that she had Veteran's day off and might come home on Tuesday and stay Wednesday at home instead of staying at school. At first I didn't think we had to scheme tooooo much until Caitlin told us she was staying at school after all to celebrate a roommate's birthday. Ken came up with a plan to get a "recall" problem on her car fixed on Tuesday (a little white lie never hurts anyone!)....soooo she had no choice but to come home! Let's just say that she was VERY unhappy that she had to miss the party for her friend! Caitlin came home....left her car with Ken and Joey took over!

He had to pick up dog things at Petland and asked Caitlin to go along. This happens to be a favorite past time for the two of them.....playing with the Petland puppies. They also dreamed of having a baby beagle in the future. Joey not only decided to propose, he also bought her a puppy! The proposal took place at Petland! As they looked and cuddled with puppies, the beagle was brought out with a collar on it. Caitlin read the collar which said "Will you marry me? Love Joey".....Joey got down on one knee and proposed! HOW ROMANTIC! He text me the message "She said Yes!!!".....I had no doubt! Little did she know the puppy was her gift too!
